Idea 2 - Series
For one of my final pieces I have decided to use frames to create a series of images. Doing one image only would not be as impactful by itself so putting three images is the suitable choice to go with. The three images will be photographs that I took from my video piece. My final piece links to the artists as the actual images inside the frames show a model dancing around with fabric. The motion of the fabric links to the idea of movement, and I also have a successful image from my Bill Wadman page. Frames are very suitable for this as in my Paolo Roversi page there is a set of further developments where I combine three images together into one. My final piece will be three white frames together containing shots from my video final piece idea. To create my final piece I will get three white frames that are 40 x 50 to display my photos inside of.
Above here are six photographs. The first row, and second row are potential images that could be a set of series. To determine the sets, I firstly found three images together that had a main colour in common, which in this case would be pink or blue. Then, I would pick out the images that I thought did not compliment each other well. For instance, I picked out photographs that did not have enough movement with the fabric. In the end, I decided to go for the first row, because the colours were more similar to each other than the ones in the second row. It also had a successful balance between them in fabric, and the model.
