String/Hanging

IDEA 1:

For my first idea, I want to create this idea of using a mixture of collage and string by creating a mobile much like in the mood board above, it will be a final outcome of different collaged body parts. My idea is to take a new photoshoot inspired by Jesse Draxler, in his use of abnormal, alienated photographs of different sculptural body positions on a white wall, in different angles. Then I will print these portraits of the body out and cut out different almost ligaments, then use string to hang these parts almost like a mobile to a board much like in the moodboard I have created above. The resulting piece will be collaged body parts that hang to create an abnormal strange collaged portrait of a body.

For my first idea, These are my contact sheets for this photoshoot, inspired by Jesse Draxler. To create this photoshoot, I first of all wore black clothes so that my figure could stand out in front of the white wall as my background. I shot in natural lighting on my G5X canon camera. I had my camera set up a distance away from me and then I used a self timer to capture each pose I formed. I think this photoshoot was successful as I managed to get many different forms that I can use when it comes tp creating the hanging piece.

QUICK DEVELOPMENTS :

These are my edited developments from this mini photoshoot. To edit these photographs, I used adobe photoshop in which I changed the overall colouring my going to the colour level and adjusted the level of colour. then I changed the levels of brightness, contrast and saturation. I think these simple edits came out very successful and I am excited to print and hang these to create collages.

DEVELOPMENTS TO USE IN COLLAGES :

This gallery is the photographs I will be printing out and using. I think these will look really instructing hung up with one, blue and white painted background and one with a red, and orange painted acrylic background. My next objective is to print these photographs out, then cut them out and them hanging them to create this hanging collage. I will hang these photographs infront of the painted backgrounds.

CONTACT SHEETS - HANGING PHOTOSHOOT

For this photoshoot, wanted to capture the final outcomes from experimenting with collaged hanging mobiles. I made two hanging colllages one, with a blue theme, another with a red theme. I captured the outcomes straight on with a white plain background so that you could see all the detail within the outcome and shot in natural lighting. I also captured these outcomes. to create gifs as another experimentational outcome.

I think overall, this was a successful photoshoot, In overall, I think this was a successful idea and can be one of my final pieces.
