FINAL PIECE PLANNING - FRAMES

Frames could be a nice way to present my photography in a concluded and consolidated way. Exhibiting my most successful images in a series would create a more sleek and modern effect that is geomtertrical and structured. There are multiple different ways that I could frame my photos. I could print them small and place them close together in a grid pattern, I could also do this with larger and fewer photos. Another thing that I could do is pick three or four photos and place them in a symmetrical and neat way. Depending on the photos that I put in the frames, I will either do white or black. I am going to do mock-ups to replicate different framing scenarios so that I can gather what each one would look like and the most successful.

I have done some mock-ups of a few potential framing scenarios. I experimented with how many images I put in each frame and in one I changed the composition more significantly. I like this idea of framing and I find it a nice way of presenting your work. I tried choosing images of similar orientations and content and put them on the same frames to add a sense of cohesiveness and make the whole arrangement more aesthetically pleasing. I used the rectangular marquee tool to copy the photos I wanted on the frame, and pasted them onto another image which I had extended the frame of to make a mock-border. These are just ideas of what my images could look like if I put them in frames so they don't look perfect. As you can see, some images have been slightly stretched and and are a little uneven. Disregarding this, I like the idea of frames and this may be what I will do for my final piece.

HIGHLIGHTING SUCCESS

What I like about this framing idea is having three photos in a row. I think that fewer photos is better in this instance because it allows the audience to focus more on the details of each image.

What I like about this framing idea is the thin border. I like the thinner border because I feel it alludes to a neater and more sleek appearance which makes the images the focal point of the piece.
