Amirali Ghasemi

Amirali Ghasemi is an Iranian, he was born on the 20 August 1980 and he is independent curator, media artist, and graphic designer. He is the founder and director of parkingallary from 1998 an art space in Tehran that was established itself as ansccessible platform for young Iranian contemporary artists. From 1998 to 2004 he studied graphic design at Azad university in Tehran. He has created numerous exhibitions and projects for the gallary. In 1998 He converted his parents garage into an art studio, which over the years transformed into his own work space. In 2002 , an online presence was established to show case the works of a young iranian contemporary artist. In 2014 the phyisical space was closed but the gallary has continued to exist as an online resource.

In the summer of 2014 he co-founded new media society a project space, library and video archive in down town Tehran. In this matter, Iran & Co departed from the so-called "Iran boom" that since, 2005-2006 led to hundreds of exhibitions and publications dealing with art from Iran and the middle east.

not a lot of his pictures are from outside all of them are inside. And they look like they in some cheap looking restaurant. a lot of the pictures have drinks in the picture. They also have a lot of things going around in the picture, there are people having a party and having a normal family picture but his family members have been edited by covering their faces with a white circle. His pictures are interesting and amazing.

I really enjoyed taking these pictures they were really fun to take. My favorite one is the one with a gymnastic move I thought it would make the picture more interesting and very cool, and it would look really cool when I edit it. The top pictures i took in my room they doo look nice with the background. when I edit myself I'm not going not going to edit my self fully white, it would look nice with just few body parts edited. some of the pictures I ran, I wanted to spread my self so when I edit the white wont be all stuck together. For the ones that I have put an X on I didn't like because some of them had glitchy things on the picture, and I dint like the body gesture. For a few I covered my face and spreded my hand because I want to edit my hand white so it would look interesting and edit my hair. I got inspired by some of his work.

i took some photos outside locally, I really like the background it looks really nice when I edit them they will look interesting there is one that someone from my family I took a photo out side the driveway. The second contact sheet on the last one I didn't like because it only showed half of myself and that's why its bad. and for the ones that have an X on it is because for some of them I wasn't ready too take the picture. As I have started to edit these pictures it is quite hard to do it on the computer because you don't have a mouse to control where you want to colour the white parts you want. A mouse is easier but it is still tricky, that is why I was thinking of editing the photos on my I pad because I think it's easier as I have an apple pencil and I have more control of drawing the white parts. and when I draw the white parts on the picture you can zoom in so you can see what you are doing and you can put the detail on the outside. On most of the pictures I took outside the back garden because it had a nice background and I really like the chose of it, it wasn't too busy. There are a few pictures that I have done a little turn with out relisting and I really like it. my favourute edited one is the star handstand one, i thought of the idea when its is edited it would look amazing.

EDITED PHOTOS

These edits came out really good. for some edits I mirrored them and they look really nice. My favorite one is the star hand stand, when it is edited it looks really interesting. For some of the pictures I moved and it made that glitching foggy effect on my shoes, and I thought it looks really cool. I like the ones when I have put my hands up and they look interesting when they are mirrored. For very few edited pictures I have not coloured my whole body white I coloured my face and my shoes i was just experimenting how it would look and it turned out really good.

For the edits I really like the lighting its not to bright and its not too dark. for the ones outside in the dark those pictures are a bit random they don't really go with the artist. For some of them i needed to show my face but I dint so if I edited them it would be very hard. The place that I did my photo shoot was the back of the garden, there are not much people so it was private. I think the background choice was a really

PROCESS

Step 1) First you use the 4th tool to quick select the bits that you want to colour in. The reason why this stool is good is because when you colour it wont go outside the the part where you quick selected it it will stay inside the image. If you didn't use this tool your image will be very messy and the outlines will not be outlined perfectly.

Step 2) Now you use the quick select tool and select the part you want to be coloured. Too zoom into the image more will make the quick select tool easier.

Step 3) now go to the eraser which is the 11th tool, you use that too colour in the image the past that you have quick selected.

I really enjoyed taking these pictures they were really interesting to take. I choose a different destination for my redraft photoshoot it was still in flats garden but different background. The choice of taking the pictures with the umbrella is a good idea, it makes the picture more vibrant and colourful. I added leaf's inside the umbrella and when you put the umbrella up the image looks really cool when all the leaf's fall down.

For the ones that I have put a cross they were the ones when the photo was taken to early for the leaf's to fall down and the poses that I did were not good. For the first two pictures I took the picture on my balconie and posed for the photo. For some of the pictures I turned my head around I thought that image wouldn't look that good but I turned out really nice. I like the pictures when I have jumped up. for the jumping one I was jumping high so I had time to jump in the air doing a star jump. When I edit these I can tell they are going to be really good. I have good ideas where I am going to colour the parts in white. After a while I took my jacket off because if all of the pictures are in the same clothing I thought it would look a little boring. I lifted up the umbrella high so the leaf's had time to fall down. When edit these pictures I am going to edit the pictures on my I pad because it is easier.

As an idea from the artist I was going to take the pictures outside but I thought it would look a little bit boring so I decided not to take the pictures inside. I think the choice of the background is really good . The lighting was good to take these pictures.

REDRAFT EDITED IMAGES

Editing these pictures were really fun because I edited these pictures on a different devise. I edited them on an I pad, because I thought it was easier. I thought the pose with the umbrella was a really good idea and they look really good when the whole body is colored by white. and I also like putting the leaf's in the umbrella and they fall on you it makes the image really nice and interesting. There was this one image that I did it was the one that I jumped up and it looks really cool when it is colored in white. The choice of the background is nice I think it suites the image well. The place that I took the images were in my back garden. The images that I do like is the ones that a whole bunch of the leaf's fall on top of me. And some of the leaf's fall on the side and some of the leaf's swirl around me. By putting the leaf's in the umbrella would make the image look nice. The lighting was good and the location.

FURTHER DEVELOPMENTS

For my further developments I have decided to mirror them. It actually looks really cool. When the bushes and the trees stuck together look really interesting in the image, all the images look really interesting, and when the person is coloured in white it really stands out in the image
