PETRA COLLINS
WORKING WITH LIGHTS
The main element in Petra Collin's work that I focused on is the use of different coloured lights. I like how at certain angles it reveals the true emotions that were hidden in the dark. It shows how it is okay to display emotion and not shy away from them. I also like the idea that the different coloured lights could reflect the emotion expressed by the person in the photo. This is definitely an aspect that I'd like to include in my final piece.

PIPILOTTI RIST
What I focused on when recreating Pipilotti Rist's work was the used of projected imagery and the distortion of faces against a sheet of plastic or glass. I really like the use of projected imagery de to the control and flexibility to it. I was able to project certain area

of the images onto specific parts of the face that I wanted to highlight. The experimentation with colours was also another element that I liked as it related to a previous photographer that I had studied (Petra Collins)

TAMARA LICHTENSTEIN
For my replication of Tamara Lichtenstein's work, I focused on her work with double exposure and flower imagery. I liked the fact that you cannot see her face clearly due to the flowers yet her eyes remain the most striking feature of these photographs. The use of flowers is something that I'd consider including in my final piece images. When editing the photos, I discovered that the cooler tones looked best and suited the atmosphere of the photoshoot.

DAVID FISCHLI &
PETER WEISS
When combining artist styles, I would like to maintain and keep consistent the use of flowers in my photoshoots.
I would like to use flowers for my final piece and incorporate it into my work with Pipilotti Rist, Petra Collins and Tamara Lichtenstein. I was planning on pressing the flowers against a face while its pressed against a sheet of clear plastic. The flowers bring a sense of fragility to it, due to the connotations surrounding it. They are

seen as dainty and beautiful and overall delicate. So I would like the use of flowers to be a big part of my photoshoots and final piece.
