Trapped

1. adjective [usually verb-link ADJECTIVE]

If you feel trapped, you are in an unpleasant situation in which you lack freedom, and you feel you cannot escape from it. He follows me everywhere and it makes me feel so trapped.

Being trapped in your body in search for your Identity is one of lifes' many stuggles. The artists that I look at all explore this idea in different ways. The three photographers focus on different aspect off this concept.

Evilsabeth Schmitz-Garcia explores the first stages of discovering your identity. Distortion and not being able to see yourself as you are and the anger and frustration which comes form it. 

Laurence Demaison focuses on the isolation one would feel and being enveloped and lost in yourself. 

Finally, Andreas Poupoutsis analyses the reaching and stuggling to figure out yourself shown throw the figure stretching throught the fabric and trying to escape. 

All three Identity Photographers fixate on being trapped and the struggle
