Idea 3: Combining Artists

I decided to merge my first and second photoshoots together for both photographers Andreas Poupoutsis and Laurence Demaison for my third idea. I think this is impactful because it shows the change and developments from my original shoots, to my redraft ones portraying how and what I did to change them. The shots are interesting. I like the way that it abstracts a normal image into something different. To do this, I first overlayed the images in Photoshop and cropped it to my preference. I then used the layer overlay tool and chose which double exposure option I wanted out of a selection. Often the selection was random, but it gave me the opportunity to experiment with different outcomes. I chose to double expose my images instead of using a different technique because I felt that this would show reflection on my previous shoots by, in theory, displaying them for my final piece. I think that my developments fit into the subject of abstract and surreal photgraphy. This is because you do not quite understand what it is and if you thought about it properly, you could find any hidden meaning behind it. For example, the silhouette on a few of the last images in the series are filled in by surreal designes and patterns which almost create a type of monster. Some of the later images are merged together so perfectly like they were meant to be there.

Highlighting Success

If this Idea was my final piece, this image would be the highlight. This is because it looks as if I had not merged two images together but taken it as one. The seams are so smooth, and the figure looks like some sort of monster that you would see in your nightmares! Although this is quite a successful excersize I prefer my other options for a final piece, and I do not think this would be up to standards.
