Identity is the qualities, beliefs, personality, looks and/or expressions that make a person, The definition of identity is who you are, the way you think about yourself, the way you are viewed by the world and the characteristics that define you. An example of identity is a person's name . Our personal identity is how we perceive ourselves, but our social identity is how others perceive us. People recognize us by our characteristics within our town, school, career or another community context.
