Sven Pfrommer is a Berlin based contemporary photographer and visual artist working worldwide. He collaborates with lots if different art galleries and he works with a range of material. He is also an award winning photographer and artist, he also really likes to travel and observe lots of different things that are happening in the world. His work also mainly focus on the images he has taken whilst travelling and this is were he gets most of his inspiration from. Sven Pfrommer uses lots of different shapes that are very simple and we can all recognize. This then makes his images really because he is able to take some simple shapes and make these amazing and interesting images. Also the camera the Sven Pfrommer uses most of the time is a digital camera and he finds that in his work the painting and drawing are really important.

The reason why I have selected this artist is because I really like the fact that he prints out his images and put ink on top of them making his images look more a like painting and more interesting images. Another reason why I have selected this artist is because I really like that all the different shapes are very simple and not complex and then this makes the images for fun and interesting to look at.

Another reason why I have chosen the artist Sven Pfrommer is because I find it very interesting that for the past few years he has travelled to lots of different countries for example he has also travelled across the south east of Asia and he has managed to find a lot of inspiring things. I also like the fact that  in his images there is a variety of different colours and they all kind of pop out at you just like in Daniella Zalcman's work. His images as look really abstract as he uses ink to got over his photos and it makes it look more interesting.

The meaning behind all of his work is to show how all the different cities and landscapes should be filled with colour and not really dark. You can also see that through his images he is bringing light and convincing people that the landscapes might look really dark and grey but it can be filled with colour.

I really like the fact that in his images he plays with lots of different colours which can be really appalling to the human eye. This colours that blend together creates an aesthetic atmosphere. I also really like the fact that in his images he makes some really boring and dull images and bring some light and fun into it by adding these different colours. In his images you are able to see how the wideness of the buildings which has had a huge impact on his identity.

His work has really inspired me to take some amazing images, and I will make sure to use some of the mixed media techniques. I am really excited to see how all of my images turn out.

I am engaged in photography, mixed media, printmaking and installation art since 1992.
