Final piece planning - moodboard imagery

Experimenting with composition - physical collages
For my final piece, I want to draw upon the visually elements of my second and third artists, experimenting and developing my collages in different ways. I have kept the idea of 'youth culture' throughout all my artists and this came about through looking at the work of Martha cooper. I have made sure that my developments are saturated with colour and vibrant to link back to the work of Dexter Navy.

Idea 1. Experimenting with composition
Then I proceeded to make the images grainy by double exposing and applying grain to my photographs to represent the use of film cameras which my inspired photographers implemented in there images. One element which I found unsuccessful with these developments was that I found it difficult to experiment with composition. this is because these photographs were not suitable in my opinion for composition. However one element which I did find successful was the use of grain on the images. The use of double exposure techniques made my images more captivating and interesting,

Idea 2. Experimenting with background
For these developments I experimented with background and create these developments on photoshop. I have edit these double exposed photos into a collage relating to my artists.
The tools I used to do these collages on photoshop is picking the pipit and selecting a color on the photo that will look nice on the out side so I picked the color and selected the paint bucket on the top left and selected the exterior and changed the color to the best one and the one that fits he image after that I drew with the burn tool so I can fill in the shades of the collage.
I think Dexter navy's work will be very similar because he is the artist I choose and I basically copied the technique he used I try to use it and it was very helpful the way he does it is by bringing a photo that's edited and cropping it out wards and changing the color whilst putting the photo in the middle there for I used the artist techniques and media.
The aspects I like is the way it came out and how it looks because the more you glare at the development the more you understand and the nicer it looks. I could improve the work by making the it more precise for example making it accurate and 100%in the middle so its looks professional.

For these collages I took a photoshoot and printed them ln out in a4 sheets. I cut in line of faces and glued them onto black card sheets and turned it into a collage. The next step I used for these collages is getting a plastic transparent sheet and putting a layer of that sheet onto the original collages. Once I did all these steps I gathered different types of paint and used a lot of different multi colors after that I brought a paint brush and splattered brown yellow green pink blue and red I took some pictures at this state and after that I was thinking of hanging the collages and making the paint drip so I brought a spray bottle of Dettol and sprayed it over the plastic sheet and onto the paint so it started to drip down and I got some photos of me doing that and photos of the paint drippling I had no wear to hang it so I taped it to the door because the door is a very dark black tone so there would be no background color so the main focus on the work is the collages. Overall I think it went very well and I got the prefect amount of photos but one thing I wish I could change is the amount of paint on the collages. To be honest these pictures relate to my artist Dexter navy because Dexter navy does these types of collages ad uses the same colors that i used to add on the collages.
COMBINING COLLAGE & COMPOSITION

Through using Photoshop, editing the photos from different perspectives adds dimension to the original piece showing adaptions to the original photographs. The use of color such as the dark blue and burnt orange also helps create proportions as it creates the idea of silhouettes. Dexter Navy uses composition of collages which I recreated proving how the composition of images today creates a whole new interpretation to the piece allowing it to have a different meaning. I used increased elements such as the saturation which helped bring out either the main details in the photographs allowing

Colour looked up collages
For these development's I edited these collages from photoshop and then I drew with a burn tool on the sides so its not a basic rectangle. Once I finished editing these collages I pressed on the rectangular marquee tool. The next step was pressing onto the color look up which is located on the bottom left of the photoshop page and its shaped a circle with a black dot on it once you press onto the the circle a feed will come up and you press onto the name color look up. By pressing onto color look up you get a variety of different colors you can add to the collages which enables different colors which leas to different styles.
