for my final piece, my plan was to create a border along my photographs to have a simple frame for them however i think that this turned out to be really effective and match the theme that.-  for my final piece i settled on four developments. for the photoshoot process, i took multiple photographs of similar poses, keeping the photoshoot generally simple. for the background, it was plain white as i wanted the person to stand out the most. for the editing process, the first thing i did was make all of the pictures i took black and white. using the technique of double exposure, i merged two of the pictures together, decreasing the exposure and opacity of the top layer / picture. after this i cropped the photographs and framed them in a polaroid - like border. to develop further, i burnt the edges of the developments as a second frame and added a grainy texture effect. this relates to the work i did of elena oganesyan because of the use of double exposure and portrait photography. this relates to the work i did of francesca woodman because of the themes of collage and the use of polaroid. this relates to the work i did of xi huang because of the method of experimental photography and lack of colour.
