Leonardo Corredor Adam is an New York-based photographer who has turned his attention towards ADAM models for his latest black and white portrait series. I will be focusing on the photographs where he decides to get a variety of models to capture behind plastic and are masked in shadows. His background and lighting is dark and low-key in order to create an ominous affect within the frame. Furthermore, Leanardo's technique within his angles is to represent the object and subject in an focused, highlighted way which shows how he is attempting to intrigue the viewers eye's to be mainly focused on the concept of the subject being trapped and consumed in the depth of the shadows. As well as analyzing his work into depth, I have realized that his photos are just mainly simplistic, black and white imagery displaying mainly the tonal values and features of the human body. The bright light reflecting on one side, highlights features and how Leanardo aims to only focus at only one perspective. I will be experimenting and attempting to recreate his photographs revolving around black and white imagery as well as the use of framing, including and object. Furthermore, this has
Photoshoot Plan

Contact sheet I

In my contact sheet, I have selected the photographs which will be edited and displayed within my developments as these are the most successful due to the right lighting, angle and composition etc. Furthermore, each photograph I have taken during my photoshoot, is relevant and is an recreation towards mt artist as I have attempted to photograph in the same perspective.
Developments- exploring black and white imagery

In my developments above, I have decided to edit each photograph in black and white to represent the depth of shadows behind the focal point. In leanardo's photos, the majority are black and white meaning I have edited in the same style as well as recreating the photos of each person behind this plastic wall. I have done this by using cling film to cover, stretch, place in front of my focal point to then using my camera to zoom in up close. I have fixated the person in front of a white background to then ensuring my frames only capture the face and the plastic scrunched towards to then ensuring I have played around with the plastic for different positions right attached to her face.
Developments II- exploring with double exposure

In my second set of developments, I have decided to explore with double exposure in order to create a mysterious, ominous affect within my photographs. I believe this will capture the right perspective towards exploring mystery and shadows. Having this affect really captivates the features and detail within creating a zoomed perspective. By double exposing, I have been able to creatively display an illusionary perspective towards others.
Further developments - mirroring and film colour

In my developments above, I have decided to experiment with multiple film colours aswell as layering each photographs with old film paper by blending it in and lightening it. Furthermore, I have decided to mirror each photo to create an illusionary affect towards my work as this will demonstrate my ability to further experiment with my editing capability in an similar style as Leanardo who creates each photo as the focal point being trapped.
Redraft - contact sheet II

In my contact sheet, I have demonstrated by circling which photographs I would like to edit for my further developments. In this shoot, I am extending my exploration of editing similarly to Leanardo.
Further developments - black and white imagery

In my developments above, I have decided to recreate my first set of developments in the style of leanardo corredor adams to a more advanced representation of his work. In these photographs, I have decided to edit each photo in black and white and have decided to adjust the exposure and contrast so the lighting is in the right perspective. These are taken in a sideways angle so the light is hitting one side within the frame creating a more different perspective
Further developments -double exposure and different frames

In the set of developments above, I have decided to experiment with multiple frame overlays. Furthermore, I have decided to double expose each photograph in order for a more creative, detailed outlook for further experimenting. I have done this by finding frame overlay photos on google, to then copy and pasting it onto of my photo to then blend it in with the option 'lighten'. I have chosen to do multiple frames as I wanted to twist the framing into something more experimental and creative for a different outlook as the majority of his photographs are framed with one colour so I have decided to further edit with a different perspective.
I have also furthered developed the original photographs by experimenting with double exposure for a more illusionary affect. Furthermore, I did this by copying and pasting the original photograph but decreasing the brightness and increasing the contrast for it to remain an ominous affect. After this, I have blended it in to the original photograph by selecting a more lighter option so it can align with each other.
Experimenting with composition/mirroring

In my final set of developments, I have decided to experiment with mirroring my black and white photographs to then experimenting with composition. I believe my composition edits are the most successful set of developments as I have successfully arranged my photos in a creative yet sharp layout to portray my ability revolving around further developing with my photos. Furthermore, I have created this composition set by selecting out a range of photos from 1-7 to then mixing them in a different or simplistic order to then deciding on whether the photograph should be zoomed in or out, or if it should fill the majority of the page.
I have done this in order to show my capability of experimenting in an unique perspective. Studying Leanardo Corredor Adams, has enabled me to further experiment with editing and by creating something in more depth. I have the intention to highlight the depth of features within the focal point's face as well as highlighting the tonal values upon the skin in order to show a sharp, detailed perspective.
Highlighting my success

When I finished my developments, I finalized my ability by analyzing all my developments to select my most successful and experimental development that I have created throughout studying Leanardo Corredor Adams. I have selected this photograph as my most successful as I have used my ability to develop my photographs by further experimenting with with an wide, relevant editing range.
